R.A.P.S.

The Roland Active Piezo Sensor (RAPS) eliminates the drawbacks of conventional contact-type 3D scanners. It scans data with hair-splitting precision, picking up even the most minute shape variations. Minimum scanning pitches are 0.025mm in height (Z axis) and 0.05mm in width (X-axis) and depth (Y-axis).

Scans Almost Anything

Since it's a contact-type scanner, the PICZA scans a wide range of materials. It scans glass and other transparent materials, as well as clay figures, fruit and other soft objects with unparalleled accuracy.

Easy Does It

With only a power switch, the PIX-3 takes all of its instructions from Dr. PICZA software. Even people inexperienced at 3D CAD design can scan clay shapes for use in professional-quality computer graphics or produce any handicraft.

Dr. PICZA Software

Dr. PICZA allows for complete control of the scan area, including X-Y scan resolution. As the PIX-3 scans an object, it creates wire-frame models on the fly. Color rendering, mirroring and inverting features are also included along with the ability to export files to popular 3D computer graphics and CAD programs.

Lots of Formats

PICZA scans are stored in DXF, STL, BMP, Grayscale (BMP), 3DMF and VRML file formats for use in a wide range of applications.
