Welcome to the CNCProse Nesting system. With CNC Nest, everything you do will be easier, faster and what you’ve always wanted to do is now possible.

This book introduces you to CNC Nest and gets you up and running quickly. It shows you how to do the most common tasks, provides you with tips, and points you to some of the exciting new features that come with CNC Nest.

If you want to explore CNC Nest in more depth or learn about some of the more technical aspects of CNC Nest, please run the online "Help" files by selecting the "F1" key or "Help" on the task bar.

 

Installing CNC Nest

It is easy to install CNC Nest. There are two ways to do it;

    • From a file you DOWNLOADED on your computer.
    • From your CD ROM

Ensure that no other programs are running.
  • Installing from a web download

Advanced installation from web download

  • Download the file to a folder on your hard drive
  • Open the file up and unzip to a folder of your choice for installation after the menu appears and enter the password that was E-Mailed to you for completion of the installation.
  • Go to that same folder and run the file called "Setup" and follow instructions

Basic installation from web download

  • Download the file from the web onto your "Desktop"
  • When the file is done downloading you will see a file called "CNCNest_build_246.exe".
  • Select file by "double selecting" with your mouse button. A box as shown will come up.

  • Select the "Browse" button and then select your "Desktop" as shown below.

  • After selecting the "Desktop" as shown above, select the "OK" button.
  • Next select the "Unzip" button as shown below

  • After selecting the "Unzip" button the following menu appears.

 

  • When the menu above appears enter the password that was E-Mailed to you for completion of the installation.
  • Following the entry of your password the following menu appears

  • Select "OK" then select "Close"
  • On your "Desktop" you now have 9 new files including the help file.

  • Next select the file called "Setup" or "Setup.exe" not the "Setup.ini" file. Depending on how your computer is setup, the "Setup.ini" file might not be seen.
  • When the first "Welcome" menu pops up select "Next".
  • When the next menu pops up with the license file information select "I accept" and select "Next".
  • The next menu asks for your "Name" and a "Company Name" if any otherwise put "N/A" in the company name area and then "Next".
  • On the next menu it asks for the "Type" of installation. Select "Complete" and then "Next". Only select "Custom" if you need to change the location of the install.
  • On the final menu prior to the install, select "Install" and it will follow through and install the program.
  • The last menu is the Finished Menu so just select "Finish" and you have completed the install.
